and found the resulting Sumo sandwich great fun and a welcome break in June. Around a hundred staff split into two teams and chose team names along with three boys and two girls each to be their champions.
The combatants observe age old rituals, throwing salt into the ring to purify it for the coming battle.
The boys then size each other up and grunt aggressively at each other.
The 'Gyoji' signals for the start of battle and the opponents are frozen on camera just before impact. Notice too, J Arthur on the gong.
